If I could go back and relive one day…

    July 26, 2019 / 2 Comments

If there was one day as a parent that I could go back and relive, it would be the day my son was born. Not because I regret that day. Not because I wish that day hadn’t happened… It was the happiest day of my life; I just wish there were some things I had done differently... Awe Sandy, I’m so sorry to read this. I wish you could relive that day with your Nana. 💔 If there was one day I could go back and relive, it would be the day my son was born. I would stand up for myself and my son more. — Tresa | The…

The Road to Motherhood | What No One Tells You  Parenting & Phases One of the biggest parts of parenting is the struggles that we go through in raising our little ones. Everyone will tell you to embrace and love every moment. They will tell you how unbelievably blessed you are; there are people who wish they could be parents, you should be thankful. There will be people who tell you that you’re ungrateful for complaining or even thinking about calling these difficult times hardships. We are incredibly blessed as parents; we all know that. But these times are also incredibly difficult, and no one tells you that it’s okay…

The Road To Motherhood | Diaper Changes

    January 23, 2019 / 7 Comments

Do You Want to Know… What No One Told Me About Motherhood? Changing a baby, and then a toddler’s diaper, is a fiasco, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. No one thought to tell me this! Not one. Single. Soul.      No one thought that I needed time to mentally prepare for that. See, the pre-mom me had watched plenty of moms change their children’s diapers. And yes, there were plenty of times when I had seen it was an ordeal, of massive proportions! You always see the smiling mom on the TV commercial who’s bending over her precious little baby, getting ready to change their diaper while the baby’s cooing ever so sweetly. …

The Road To Motherhood: Finding My Son’s Father

    October 24, 2018 / 0 Comments

The Road To Motherhood Finding My Son’s Father…     I was looking for a little inspiration this week for The Road To Motherhood. I often look for inspiration in my boyfriend, because he always has a different perspective than I do and it’s very refreshing. Sometimes when I can’t focus on any one thing to write about, he’s like my anchor and helps me find what’s important. So I looked at him thoughtfully and asked him, “What would you say no one told you about becoming a parent?”     And you’ll laugh, because my boyfriend said, “Well I never had any time to prepare for becoming a parent, so…

The Road to Motherhood | What No One Tells You My Birth Story No One Asked Me If I Wanted A C-Section…     I recently read a blog post from a fellow mom who had chosen to have a c-section. She wrote about how having a c-section wasn’t the easy way out, and she’s too right! A c-section is far from the easy way out, whether you chose to have one or not. But her post, along with a few others, inspired me to write this post for the second post in ‘The Road To Motherhood’ Series! Check out the post by @carolineelgeyw here; Having A C-Section Is Not The…

The Road To Motherhood: What No One Tells You

    September 24, 2018 / 4 Comments

Hi everyone! I’d like to introduce to you, The Road To Motherhood: What No One Tells You, a new weekly series by The Mom Blog WI about motherhood and all it entails! Each week I’ll be posting about the things no one told us about becoming a parent, the things that we wish we would’ve known about creating a little human being and becoming a mom. These things wouldn’t have necessarily made us change our mind about becoming parents, but it definitely would’ve been nice to know!  “When does Motherhood Begin?”     If you have any suggestions about what no one told you about motherhood, please feel…
