October Blogging Goals
π π π π π π π π π π π π π I just received an email with the header, βThereβs less than 90 days until 2019,β and that hit me like a ton of bricks! Holy ****, thereβs less than 3 months until we are in a new year again, which means even less time until Christmas!!! Where has this year gone?! So many things have happened and changed this year. My recent blog post about working full-time was a turning point for me in my life. I realized that if I ever want to make a career out of writing, I need to start doing it now! Not when I’m finally ready. I’ll never get ready…

My Birth Story | The Road to Motherhood
The Road to Motherhood | What No One Tells You My Birth Story No One Asked Me If I Wanted A C-Section… I recently read a blog post from a fellow mom who had chosen to have a c-section. She wrote about how having a c-section wasn’t the easy way out, and she’s too right! A c-section is far from the easy way out, whether you chose to have one or not. But her post, along with a few others, inspired me to write this post for the second post in ‘The Road To Motherhood’ Series! Check out the post by @carolineelgeyw here; Having A C-Section Is Not The…

The 30 Day Mommy Self-Care Challenge
The 30 Day Mommy Self-Care Challenge As Mommas, we all know how important self-care is. I’ve been really slacking on the self-care front lately. I’ve been so busy between work that I’ve felt like I’m failing as a mom, and at the end of the day, there isn’t any room left for anything other than to collapse in a heap on the floor of exhaustion. Related: I Am More Than Just A Mom: It Is Not My Only Title My most recent blog post touched base on how I am a Mom, but it is not only who I am. I am also a person completely separate from…

From The Archives | I Am More Than Just A Mom…
The Mom Blog WI | From The Archives I am not just a Mom.It is not my only title… And I have to tell myself that every, single, day. Lately, there’s been very little time to just be me. And I’ve been doing a terrible job at doing anything that has to do with solely pleasing myself above all others. It’s a hard job… I am still a Mom, though, I am not just me anymore. Being a mom is the most amazing job ever; it fills my heart but it also completely depletes my energy. It calls nearly all of my attention, and it is absolutely exhausting, and…

Adjusting To The Full-Time Working Mom Life
As some of you may know, I recently started working full-time and I wrote a blog post about it here. Officially full-time, like 40 hours a week. In the past I’ve typically worked 30-35 hours a week ever since my son was born, Let me tell you something; I really, REALLY enjoyed the flexibility. I usually worked 2-3 full days and 2-3 half days, which was so unbelievably nice. I was so spoiled! I had so much time to spend with my son, actual quality time, and it was incredible. But after our recent move, a change in jobs, a change in daycare, plus a necessary new car…

8 Things We Are Working On With Our Toddler
As some of you may know, my son recently turned two years old. A whole whopping 2 years have gone by and it feels like all Iβve done is blink and lose a lot of sleep. With the turning of another page and passing of another year, my son is growing up way too fast! Gone are the baby days, and in place is this little man that I hardly recognize anymore until I really look at him. Now thereβs this toddler running around who is unbelievably independent, wants to do everything for himself and throws a fit whenever we do something for him. He also is really…

Living the Full-Time Working Momming Blogging Life
Being a full-time working mom who’s also trying to blog is tough, and I’m not even joking! As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t made a blog post in a week (Yea right, no one’s noticed. I wish I was that popular). And I feel tremendously guilty about it, but I am just struggling. My Twitter account activity and interactions have suffered greatly from my inactivity, as well. Which is discouraging, but what did I expect? I desperately want to be able to just sit down and write, but so many things are getting in the way! I’ve been working nearly full-time and am about to…

My Biggest Parenting Succes
From The Archives | The Mom Blog WI My Biggest Parenting Succes I recently read some blog posts about topics for mom and parenting blogs to write about. I was working on mapping out some ideas and doing some brainstorming for future blog posts. A lot of them said the usual stuff; write about your proudest day as a parent, your biggest parenting success and of course, your biggest parenting failure. “What is your biggest parenting success?” Needing a starting point, I compiled a list of topics I wouldn’t mind writing about at some point. And would you believe that in my opinion, the hardest one…

Intro and The Mom Friend Struggle
Hi there, and welcome to my new blog! I’m Tresa, Mommy of one handsome little almost 2 year old boy. He is my pride and joy, and the absolute light of my life. I’ve been writing in one capacity or another since I was in 6th grade and it is an art I will always truly enjoy. I have completed three years of an English degree with a writing concentrate. I’ve made several attempts over the years at blogging, about many different things but still haven’t found that niche yet. I absolutely love the concept and dream of being able to sit and write and blog all day,…
